ONSHORING PRECISION MACHINING MANUFACTURE

After having difficulty with offshore supply and quality, tired of large inventories, poor communication and turnaround times, an existing telecommunications customer approached us in relation to producing a precision antennae base component.

The connector base is required on an ongoing basis and is mission critical, so batch quantities were discussed around such matters as usage, material availability, economical production size and contractor turnaround times.

There were numerous challenges to supplying a finished “ready to assemble”component including finding the correct contractor for a highly important plating process that was needed over the raw brass material, which needed to be measured and verified as being the correct thickness every batch

This was overcome with an Xray measuring process at site of the plating process

M&S CNC Machining provided the customer a total turn key solution including machining sample production units, sub assembly of sealing rings after plating and customised packaging for damage free transport

All packing materials were produced in such a way so they may be returned to us for reuse throughout the product life cycle

M&S CNC can also produce parts using reverse engineering principles for clients that do not have technical drawings of their ongoing requirements and wish to look at local supply options
