Heesco Town Yarram

Heesco Town Yarram is making its mark in the Art Trail world and putting Yarram on the map.

The Central Gippsland town of Yarram, in Victoria’s south-east, has received a colourful makeover courtesy of 10 new murals painted by renowned street artist Heesco Khosnaran.

Each piece has its own QR code which links back to a webpage detailing the backstory of each mural, related history and related tourist activities in the town.

An ongoing project with more murals in the works, Yarram one destination you’ll want to add to your Gippsland trip.

Whilst in Yarram call into Cafe AGA – featured on Postcards with Brodie Harper or the wonderful Yarram Coffee Palace adorned with their very own mural. Artichoke Books is another must see and features a wall by Argentinian artist Lautaro Musse.

No trip to Yarram is complete without calling in Port Albert. On the way  stop at Victoria Hotel Alberton to see their Heesco mural and stay for lunch.

Port Albert is one of Victoria’s oldest seaports. Here you can hire a boat at Castim By The Jetty Boat Hire & Kiosk or try your luck fishing on the numerous jetties. Explore the Christopher Robinson Walking Trail and Nooramunga Marine & Coastal Park. Home to artist Warren Curry, the Port Albert Art Gallery features works detailing the history of Port Albert.
