The aim of the course is to assist your organisation with scenario based training to test comprehensive
Cyber Incident response plans to minimise the impact of a Cyber Security Incident to your organisation
should it occur.

The course will provide you the knowledge and tools to assist your organisation when considering business
critical processes as well as roles & responsibilities of staff within the organisation.

The course focuses on the following key processes
Identification
Detect what you can’t prevent. If you are able to detect the threat early it will reduce the impact of a potential cyber incident.
Containment
Establish a containment strategy. Learn how to consider input from your impact analysis, preserve digital evidence and acquire the resources required to successfully implement your containment strategy.
Eradication
After a cyber incident has been contained, eradication may be necessary to eliminate components of the incident. This can include various actions such as deleting malware and disabling breached user accounts, as well as identifying and mitigating all vulnerabilities that were exploited. During eradication, it is important to identify all affected hosts within the organisation so that they can be remediated.

Recovery
Recovery planning and investigating both short and medium term recovery processes and procedures involves understanding how these actions are executed to ensure restoration of systems or assets affected by cyber incidents.
Post Incident Review
Post Incident Reviews explore what information was needed and when, the steps or actions that slowed recovery, and the steps to prevent and detect a similar incident.
