Gippsland Business Machines – Connecting business to local opportunity

Gippsland Business Machines (GBM) have been servicing the Gippsland region for almost 40 years. Specialising in government, education, large and small business, they pride themselves on really getting to know their clients, working with them to find the most efficient solutions for printing and document management.

Harrison Savage, Senior Business Consultant, said “We were really keen to know more about Gippsland Business Connect in the early days, so we got along to an information session run by Wellington Shire Council.”

“I came away from the event really excited about the potential of the platform in the region. Within the first month of signing up, a project came up seeking recommendations for a printing solution for a business in Morwell, which we successfully responded to.”

Harrison says he also uses the Gippsland Business Connect platform (powered by Localised) to search for business events in the region and as a marketing tool for GBM businesses.

“I’m always looking for a way to get in front of business owners, that’s why I love the events calendar as it gives me sight of all the business focussed events and networking opportunities across the region.”

“The articles tool is also a great way to showcase what we do. I wrote an article explaining how managed print services work, giving businesses tips and advice on what to look for when considering it. The article got great traction and I received lots of questions from businesses.”

More recently, GBM saw a project advertised for Latrobe Valley Enterprises who were seeking quotes for an interactive whiteboard.

“They got a lot of quotes from everywhere, but they really wanted to procure locally and support the business community, so thanks to Business Connect we were able to partner with them.”
