Our first  Wellington/East Gippsland Meetup brings Sally Kendall to the Zoom screen.

Sally joined the Bairnsdale Recycling Enterprise Inc (BREI) committee  nearly four years ago, and is currently the President. BREI operates what is locally called the “Tip Shop” at the Bairnsdale Landfill site.

BREI is a social enterprise with the core purpose of diverting waste from landfill and creating employment opportunities for people who’ve experienced barriers to employment.

Sally will outline the journey BREI has been on over 10 years, and look ahead at what the future could hold. She’s participated in the New Economy Network of Australia for the last 2 years.
