Event wrap up: The Modern Techniques of Sales and Negotiation

We are so proud to have brought the Modern Techniques of Sales & Negotiation event to Gippsland in late November.

So much positive feedback has been received from all who attended. A big thanks to Jack Corbett from ISR Training, Localised and the In2 Project Management Team for making it possible.

Thanks also to Joh for her recent blog post, which is a great wrap up of the event: http://johblogs.com/the-modern-techniques-of-sales-and-negotiation/

Kickstart your career in the health sector

Unemployed people in Gippsland will have the opportunity to enrol in a health training pathway which is expected to lead to local employment opportunities.

Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is partnering with the Heyfield Community Resource Centre (HCRC) to run a six-week pre-employment course that could also lead to further training in the health industry.

The course is called Kick Start your Career in the Health Sector and will run for six weeks, four days per week, starting in Sale on 6 May 2019.

Participants, who must be unemployed or under employed job seekers, will also undertake work experience at the Sale Hospital, gaining experience in roles which match their skill set and interests.

The topics to be covered in this year’s training include: skills related to working in the health industry; employment preparation including mock interviews and resume writing; overcoming barriers to work and making a good first impression; financial and digital literacy skills and developing problem solving skills.
