Latrobe City is Open for Business
Gippsland’s regional city, Latrobe City is a major thoroughfare for people travelling through to East Gippsland with people often stopping for a meal break, a play for the kids or overnight on their way to their destination.
In the wake of the natural disasters in neighbouring municipalities, Latrobe City Council along with the other Gippsland Councils have begun campaigning to get the message out that we are safe and open for business.
For those outside the region, Latrobe City is a great place to stop, refresh and explore on your travels to East Gippsland to support bushfire affected communities.
Love this video – such a great message and a great reminder that by supporting our local businesses we’re also supporting their local suppliers and so on and so forth. Buying local is an ongoing gift to our community!
In light of the Coronavirus, and the social isolation and distancing required by federal and Victorian state governments, this article is no longer appropriate.
Good Morning Sally-Anne,
Thank you for your feedback via Gippsland Business Connect.
It is great to see you utilising a tool that aims to support local businesses.
We do endeavour to keep all updates relevant, and we understand your response to the post on the 4 March advertising Latrobe City is Open for Business. Whilst COVID-19 poses many challenges for our business community, our messaging is still the same – support small business, buy local. We as a community need to support small business more than ever during these unprecedented times. I will update the wording to include messaging around social distancing.
Thank you for again for taking the time to contact us. If there is anything we can do to assist, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.
Kind Regards,
Erin Moore
Thank you.
