Balancing the Board – A celebration of Gippsland Women in Sport Governance
Join us as we recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of Gippsland women in sport governance.
The event will be held over one weekend prior to International Women’s Day. Funded by Change Our Game, the day will celebrate women who play an important role in leveling the playing field for women & girls in community sport.
- Saturday 5th March 2022, 10:30am – 1:30pm at The Vines on Avon, Maffra
- Sunday 6th March 2022, 10:30am – 1:30pm at RACV, Inverloch
*Both locations will be replicated
We are excited to announce Madeleine Hogan as the Change Our Game Ambassador. Madeleine is a three-time Paralympian and currently the Business Development Manager at Bluescope and is the Director of the Disability Sport and Recreation Victoria board. Maddy will speak about her journey as a successful board member and how she has been able to influence organisations by using good governance practices, showing the pathway to leadership, and providing inspiration to the audience.
The event will also include;
- Q & A panel with a number of local inspirational women speakers who will highlight their ability to bring about change as a result of their committee roles.
- GippSport’s Change Our Game Regional Governance and Changing Gippsland Game Leadership Program participant’s awards will be presented during the event.
A free event funded by Change Our Game, light morning tea provided.
